Sometimes, the silence is deafening but the wood hears everything

Medium: Wood

Dimensions: 15' long x 5' deep x 4’ high

Year: 2020

This work recreates a lacuna from the ubiquitous domestic interior, inscribed by both daily life and unspeakable trauma. When silence is forced on us by our culture of shaming and victim-blaming, where can those stories be found? Scratch into the surface of any home, and they are remaining there to be unearthed.
